1st January 2013

The sun shone brightly this morning and the sky was lovely and blue.  Had some tea and brown bread with banana and headed out for a long walk without doggy as can get a better walk done without him.  Walked for almost an hour at a fast pace and felt very pleased with myself.  On returning home made some lovely home made soup out of veggies and various odds and sods in the fridge, seasoned with garlic, parsely, thyme and stock, it was delicious later once blended and served with crusty french bread.  Yum.

Later on decided to check out my module requirements for Semester 2 and check out some readings.
However I was a little scuppered as the library in UCD isnt reopening until 4th January 2013 which is Friday so cannot get ahead of the possee !! Disappointed about that.  However I have a couple of books already for one of the modules Islam and Christianity so will get on and read those.  That will keep me going.
I am looking forward to getting back to college and getting stuck into Semester 2.  We will be getting our results on 23rd January 2013 so have to get over that hurdle first.  Hopefully I will have done enough to get my required credits.

Later on went out for another walk with the dog this time, rather a shorter one, just around the locality but he enjoyed it.  Everywhere is closed today being NYD.  There was a rather eerie feeling around the place, but it was nice too.  Lots of people were out walking their dogs, out with their partners, children on their bikes. All those NYR to get fit, etc. were in full swing.  The photo below is one taken on christmas eve walking over o'connell bridge with my daughter showing the view down the river Liffey towards Heuston Station.

Namaste
Marie.
