Late update.........training day Tuesday 12th August.

Trying to get back to a routine of getting up earlier in preparation for back to college in september so for the last few mornings I have been setting my alarm for 7.30-7.45. But by dinner time I'm exhausted. How bad is that? With having the student as well it is necessary for me to get up for breakfast, although she is an adult and does not need me but its good manners after all. Today I had another good reason for being up early, I had my final training session for my Mentoring/Volunteering role which will be starting soon. It was a two hour session which was meant to be with another parent mentor but it ended up just myself and trainer. It was a one to one but it was great and I asked loads of questions and the two hours passed very quickly. I then had a half hour follow up session filling in forms and signing forms and it looks like I will be 'matched' with my parent 'mentee' very soon. Excited and nervous both at the same time as I have never done this type of role before. It will be challenging and rewarding I feel. Got home and prepped fish pie for dinner. Claudia came home and needed to open bank account so headed down to bank with her to sort that out. Tomorrow is the big LC results day, Leaving Certificate, its the 'be all and end all' for 17-18 year olds here in Ireland and the results will be given out from 9am at the school tomorrow, so another early start. DD2 seems a little edgy which is to be expected and I so hope she gets what she needs for Veterinary Medicine. Namaste Marie.
